Instructions for use:

Traditional method (with charcoal):Use a heat-resistant censer filled with sand. Hold a glowing charcoal with tongs, light it until it crackles, then place it on the sand. Wait until it is covered with gray ash before placing a few grains on it.

Gentle method (with candle):Use a suitable oil burner. Place a tea light candle underneath. Place the grains in the upper dish. The gentle heat will diffuse the fragrance with little to no smoke. You can line the dish with aluminum foil for easier cleaning.

Precautions:

Use on a suitable censer or oil burner, on a heat-resistant surface.
Do not touch the hot charcoal or hot dish during use (risk of burns).
Never leave a candle or charcoal burning unattended.
